Recall notice issued for 3M’s 16ft. Talon Self Retracting Lifeline

3M Fall Protection has issued a recall due to a small quantity of the product being defective due to an assembly error. As of September 12th, the date the recall was issued, there have been no fall-related injuries associated with this condition. However, this assembly error would result in the unit not arresting a fall, which could result in serious injury or death. The affected products have lot codes 12092430 through 18062730. Lot codes before or after these numbers are not affected by their recall notice. They are instructing that all lot numbers affected be repaired or replaced effective immediately.
